General Information for 2020 Willow Run 2-Man League
- 28 Two-Man Teams
- Players from previous year have first preference
- League starts May 6th, thru Sept 2nd. (18 weeks)
- Competition: Individual 9-hole Match Play. (13-weeks)
- Points awarded per hole, 1 for win, 1/2 for tie, 9 points total
- +1 point for total 9-hole win. Total 20 points each 2-man team.
- Teams will be divided into 2 flights according to team handicaps
- Each team will play teams in your flight once.
- Handicaps: all players including subs MUST have a USGA Handicap. Any player or sub without a USGA handicap will play match at -0- handicap. Players will get 80% of your handicap to calculate strokes awarded to individual matches. Low handicap player will play at scratch and his opponent plays the difference from his opponent handicap. Maximum handicap index 27.0
- Tees: All players play Blue Tees except 65 years and older play White Tees
- Rain-out rounds will not be made up, you play that scheduled opponent the following week.
- Substitutes: All teams are responsible for finding a sub! Pro Shop will have a list of substitutes’ available, please contact them and let pro shop know before noon who will be your sub that day.
- All non-member subs will pay green fees and cart fees if riding. If a team cannot play they forfeit the match and receive -0- points and their opponents receive 7 points each total 14 points.
- BRACKET STYLE TOURNAMENT: Following the 13-week “SEEDING” period, there will be a bracket style tournament to determine our league champions for 2020. There will be a consolation bracket to determine 3rd and 4th place teams.
- DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK, THE FOLLOWING ADJUSTMENTS ARE BEING MADE TO 2-MAN LEAGUE:
- Tee-Times with split tees going off the front and back nines:
- 7 groups off each side
- Tee-times would start around 5:00 or 5:30 depending on the time of year
- 1 ½ hours of tee-times on each side staggered will be reserved for league players
- Players will be responsible for calling in and making a tee-time during the reserved time
- Any tee-times not taken by 10:00am Tuesday morning will be opened for non-league play
- All matches will have a one-week time period to be completed
- Any matches not played will split points
- Players are asked to not show up more than 20 minutes before tee-time (this includes driving range time)
- All scoring will be done via Golf Genius (NO SCORECARDS)
- Beverage cart will be available on each nine to sell drinks
- Time in the clubhouse will be limited to using the restroom or quick purchases in the pro-shop and bar
- Carts and any other purchases can be charged to member accounts to limit players in the clubhouse
- When your round is completed there will be no gathering and players will be expected to leave the golf course in a timely manner
- All other golf course rules and guidelines will apply

JUNE: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
JULY: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
AUGUST: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
SEPTEMBER: 2nd
DUES:
- USGA Handicap (must have an active handicap to participate) – $35.00
- If you already have a handicap you do not have to pay for another.
- Entry Fee for League: $95.00
- Includes: 14-weeks of league play, Two-Man Challenge year end event, and steak dinner with one draft beer at end of year awards ceremony.
- Total (handicap included): $130.00
BRACKET TOURNAMENT:
- NEW FOR 2020!!
- 2-Man bracket style tournament (August 5th-September 2nd) will begin after our 13-week regular season “seeding” round. Teams will be seeded #1-#14 in each division with the top two teams in each division receiving a first round bye. There will be a consolation bracket to determine the 3rd and 4th place teams for 2020.
ALTERNATES:
- We need alternates to substitute. Non-Member alternates will pay regular green fees & cart fees.
